Working at Te Paranui

Volunteers

Volunteer at Te Paranui and put your skills to work while learning and sharing our wholefoods plant-based lifestyle!

Tasks may vary by day according to your skills and what needs being done, but usually there is a lot of gardening, small construction projects, fencing, and caring for our animal friends, paddocks and stables.

We have space for up to five Volunteers who work with us 25 hours a week contributing to the Permaculture gardens and systems, animal sanctuary, general maintenance and fencing and going to greenXchange partners in Marlborough.

We're happy hosting short-term (3weeks) volunteers who are keen and happy to get their hands dirty and keep their body moving.

We are always looking for longer-term volunteers who are keen on learning and practicing Permaculture. If you have a little knowledge in Permaculture already, or even a PDC, but you want to get hands on experience, this would be a great place to stay long-term and learn how to manage and develop a project like this.

Our Volunteers have basic but comfortable shared accommodation, and fresh ingredients for 3 whole-food plant-based meals per day.

Accommodation and meals are provided on working days from Monday to Friday. We are listed as a host on wwoofing.co.nz, workaway.com and helpx.com - feel free to check out our profile and the reviews.

As we are located in a rural area, approximately 10 minutes from both Picton and Blenheim, transportation is needed to get you places. Hitchhiking is always possible and a daily bus-service is available as well.

If you love working outdoors, are into or are intrigued by Permaculture, a wholefoods plant-based diet, bonding with dogs, pigs and all the other animals that share our home, then come out and join us!
